SEATTLE SLEW

A champion American Thoroughbred racehorse who became the tenth winner of the American Triple Crown (1977). He is one of only two horses to have won the Triple Crown while being undefeated in any previous race; the second was Justify who won the Triple Crown in 2018 and is descended from Seattle Slew. Seattle Slew was the 1977 Horse of the Year and a champion at ages two, three, and four. In the Blood-Horse magazine List of the Top 100 U.S. Racehorses of the 20th Century Seattle Slew was ranked ninth.

Joe Hirsch of the Daily Racing Form wrote of Seattle Slew's three-year-old campaign: "Every time he ran he was an odds-on favorite, and the response to his presence on the racetrack, either for a morning workout or a major race, was electric. 'Slewmania' was a virulent and widespread condition."

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

New world ensemble of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Syrah. Four forces of nature combine here Discovery, Dubrul, Red Willow and StoneTree vineyards. Love the pedigree on this Washington bred.

Washington Wine Blog says... this Cabernet Sauvignon starts with oaky overtones with black fruits, black tea and milk chocolate coming through on the nose. The texture is soft and round, as the wine shows a nice mouthfeel and smooth texture. Black tea, blackberry cobbler and mocha flavors fill the glass. While not highly complex, this is pretty delicious.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Our new world style 2016 Seattle Slew hits the exacta with the perfect combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Three forces of nature combine here French Creek, Quintessence and StoneTree vineyards. Love the pedigree on this Washington bred.

Outstanding, Jeb Dunnuck: Spiced currants, tobacco, chocolate, and leafy herb notes define the nose, and it's another creamy, round, lush wine from this estate that's handled the longer elevage nicely. It's pleasure-bent and ideal for drinking over the coming decade. 90 points.
